The Zenith Chronomaster, a luxury watch with an avant-garde design

The Zenith Chronomaster watch was presented in Basel in 1995. Created a year earlier, this model is the result of ten years of research and testing by the Swiss manufacture's engineers. Ever since Zenith took over the production of the legendary El Primero caliber in 1984, it has wanted to design a case line perfectly adapted to the caliber. The ambition of the Manufacture, which has always sought to innovate throughout its history, is to create a timeless, elegant and refined watch with a transparent caseback that allows the wearer to contemplate the wheels of the caliber in motion. With the Chronomaster, Zenith also wanted to develop a design that was certainly classic but immediately identifiable. As soon as the model was launched, lovers of fine watchmaking bowed to such a success. The Chronomaster watch was a huge success throughout the world and became one of Zenith's flagship pieces.

A Zenith collection powered by the legendary El Primero caliber

Originally, the Zenith Chronomaster watch was offered in two models: the first was equipped with the El Primero 400 caliber with date, the second with the El Primero 410 movement with triple date and moon phase. Today, regardless of the model, all Zenith watches are powered by the El Primero caliber. This legendary caliber created in 1969 is considered one of the most accurate movements in the world (accurate to 1/10th of a second). It is composed of a 353 component chronograph beating at 36,000 vibrations per hour. Today, the collection is declined in several models, but keeps as main characteristic its famous caliber. The tricolor counters and the contemporary yet timeless lines are two other distinctive features of the collection. You will find references with steel or leather straps, dials of various colors and cases of different shapes. The Chronomaster El Primero Revival also pays direct tribute to the atypical design of the first Zenith watches from 1969. To symbolize the perfect alliance between tradition and modernity, Zenith has designed resolutely contemporary lines with an Open collection. Some models also feature complications such as Tourbillon, Moon Phase, Big Date, Day/Night Indicator...or all four at once.
