Diverse Sixty-Five, elegant and ultra-performance watches
In 1965, Oris released its first dive watch, the Divers Sixty-Five. Avant-garde, this model is then equipped with a waterproof case, luminescent numerals and a unidirectional rotating bezel. The dazzling success of this model helped make Oris one of the most renowned independent watchmakers in the world.
50 years later, the brand decided to pay tribute to its first iconic diver's watch by revisiting this cult model. An instant bestseller, this reissue led to the creation of a successful collection using the name of the original Divers Sixty-Five.
Inspired by vintage, these new models have been developed with particularly innovative production techniques, and are now equipped with sapphire lenses. The classic design and several technical features, however, pay direct homage to the legendary Oris watches of 1965: water resistance to 100 meters (10 bars), rotating bezel, indexes with luminescent numerals.
Diverse Sixty-five Oris: a collection declined in several reference models
Over time, the Swiss watchmaker presents several more Divers Sixty-Five series. In 2016, the models of the second series display slightly larger cases than their predecessors, as well as dot indexes. The calibers also feature the famous red rotor.
In 2017 and 2018, the collection underwent innovations that strengthened its reputation with the public: the Swiss manufacture used bronze to design the bezels, among other things, and the central links of the bracelets were now designed in stainless steel.
All Divers Sixty-Five models are available with steel and rubber straps, or with NATO straps in a wide range of colors. The 3-hand series remains a staple of the collection, and now offers more than 50 models in different colors, sizes and prices. There are also several special and limited editions, such as the famous Carl Brashear Limited Edition with bronze case, as well as chronograph versions and series of watches for women (or for men with thin wrists).
