Fille, the art of marrying gold and stone

Available only on the luxury jewelry second-hand market, the Fille line demonstrates all of Poiray's expertise and know-how in working with fine stones. Multicolored, they are combined with gold in rings, necklaces and earrings sometimes set with diamonds. The 18-karat yellow gold is combined with smoky or white quartz, white gold with amethyst or blue topaz. The fine stones are skillfully cut, all round, set and scratched by the gold structure. The facets reveal all the brilliance of the stones used in this jewelry line. Adorned with their gold cabochon, the cocktail rings, especially, assert their elegance. Jewelry that has been passed down from generation to generation, they bear witness to the Poiray jewelry house's passion for fine stones, which are the queens of many collections.

The estate with the Filles Antik collection

Poiray's current catalog brings the Girls line back into fashion, as it were, with a collection of rings named Filles Antik. In the same spirit, the generous curves of the gold surround a center stone expertly cut to reveal all its beauty, in a more previously rectangular shape. Some models are paved with diamonds and rose gold is invited into the dance. Filles Antik, like Fille, thus highlights fine stones such as rose or milky quartz, blue topaz, amethyst and prasiolite, scratched on their 18-karat white or rose gold settings. Their charm works, it is indeed an exceptional jewel that is worn on the finger, where each stone is unique: the blue topaz color chart, for example, ranges from light blue, or "sky blue", to deep blue, or "blue London".

Poiray or the reign of fine stones

As early as 1975, Poiray revolutionized the jewelry world of the place Vendôme by offering luxurious but accessible creations, where the fine stone is king, replacing on the frames the precious stones that are diamond, sapphire, ruby and emerald. These stones offer an exceptional chromatic palette, so much so that Poiray even offers models with interchangeable stones. Among those commonly found on Poiray jewelry, including the Fille and Filles Antik lines, rose quartz is a symbol of love and tenderness, softness and soothing. As for smoky quartz, it displays hues between brown, gray and black, naturally distributed in parallel bands, but never homogeneous. Women who prefer the color green opt for prasiolite, which is actually a variety of quartz. This stone was the delight of the Art Deco years, and still finds its place on jewelry inspired by this period. The amethyst, finally, is a stone - and a variety of quartz - particularly prized in jewelry as it offers shades of purple, a hue it owes to traces of iron present in the crystal. From light parma to dark and intense purple, translucent or opaque, amethyst is also a stone of lovers, traditionally linked to Valentine's Day.
