The Heart motif, so dear to the House of Poiray

Poiray necklaces and pendants are part of the Parisian House's iconic collections, adorned or not with the colored stones that have made its reputation in the luxury world. For Poiray is also about lines, patterns, which the brand has somehow taken under its wing since the early 1970s. Saying that, one naturally thinks of the heart, and one of Poiray's most sought-after necklaces remains the Intertwined Heart, which has traversed the decades without a hitch. The motif actually made its appearance in the House's jewelry collections in 1993, evolving with the times, retaining its precious lines. Today, the necklaces and pendants Interlaced Heart retains its clean lines, continues to celebrate all loves, but paves its gold with diamonds, for 1.20 carats, for example, on the large model. Pink gold, white gold and yellow gold 750/1000th remain the basis. To combine metal with fine stones in a heart-shaped Poiray necklace, you have to turn to another collection, L'Attrape-Cœur, a model that has the particularity of being able to be worn on both sides. On one side, the heart set with turquoise, pink opal or lapis lazuli (or even diamonds) displays its interlacing gold. On the other, it is uncluttered "like a work of art". The heart pendant becomes a talisman, at the end of a gold chain adorned with two diamonds.

Braiding, an iconic necklace with Parisian chic

In the same way as Cœur Entrelacé, collier Tresse plays on the register of delicacy. It must be said that a Poiray necklace is never exuberant, always, on the contrary, of a discreet elegance. Here, the House was inspired by turbans as fashion designers liked to create them in the early 20th century to imagine jewelry pieces around two simple strands of gold. A Poiray necklace from the Tresse collection, however, is instantly recognizable, and fully in line with Parisian chic. Made of yellow gold and white gold, rose gold and white gold (18 carats), one strand paved with diamonds when the other remains smooth, Tresse is definitely a charming necklace, discreet and refined in a small model, with assumed elegance in a large model.

The fine stones of the Indrani and Lolita collections

And the stones in all this? Didn't the House of Place Vendôme build its reputation on its fine stone creations when others swore only by precious stones? Let lovers be reassured, they are indeed present in the Poiray necklaces and pendants. In the L'Attrape-Coeur collection, we saw, but other iconic lines come in this jewelry form. For example, an Indrani necklace combines yellow gold and rubellite, a semi-precious stone that takes its name from its resemblance to the ruby and whose sparkling tones are due to its manganese content. Poiray then took up one of its great sources of inspiration, the Art Deco period, to offer a chain with geometric links that illuminate the delicate hues of rubellite. As for the godron, equally dear to Poiray, it is used to highlight the pendants of another flagship collection, Lolita, where geometric patterns are adorned with rhodolite, citrine, blue London topaz, moonstone or even smoky quartz.
