Cleaning your watch

To enjoy the beauty of your luxury watch for a long time, remember to maintain it regularly!

To clean your low water resistance steel or gold watch, use a soft cloth or dry toothbrush. And if the water-resistance of your watch allows it, clean it with soapy water, rinse with clear water and wipe with a soft cloth.

In any case, you can first disassemble the strap of your watch (especially if it is made of leather!) to complete the cleaning in every corner and not to damage it.

Be careful with the crown: it must be well pushed and screwed down to prevent water from entering the case.

Do not use any common cleaning products: they could damage the material or the seals. If your watch has become covered with micro-scratches over time, you can have it polished by a watchmaker, an operation that will revive its shine.

Be careful, gold is, much more than steel, a material subject to scratches.

To clean a steel bracelet, you can proceed in the same way as for the watch case. Polishing is also possible.

For a rubber strap: rub it with soapy water, then dry it.

A leather strap cannot be cleaned with water. Leather is a living, delicate material that can be damaged or change color by exposure to sunlight, excessive humidity, or cosmetics.

You can only rub it regularly with a soft cloth, to try to extend its life, which is about one year.

A fabric bracelet, such as nato, despite a slightly greater resistance, tolerates the same maintenance as a leather bracelet.

Finally, after swimming in the sea, the watch should always be rinsed with clear water.
