A palette of colors around fine stones

This is the first piece of jewelry imagined by Frédérique Dessemond, in 2002 and at the request of a friend for the opening of a boutique in New York. The founder of Ginette NY imagined a gold disk pink pierced on both sides to let the chain slide. Defined as "simple, free and modern," and ultimately "so Ginette NY," Disc on Chain remains one of the brand's best-selling pendants and is still in its catalog. The disc, moreover, plays the starring role in the Ginette NY necklace line, including the Ever line, where colored stones are paired with rose gold in series of pendants, chockers and sautoirs. In addition to stones commonly used in jewelry, onyx, agates and other turquoise, there are more original minerals, such as the blue sandstone, born of the hand of man and a mixture of aventurine and copper, with a deep blue rendering very bright. Always with three sizes for each necklace (mini, regular, jumbo), this palette of colors is also present in the Maria necklaces, while the Star line highlights precious stones, diamonds and sapphires. Ginette NY can bank on the elegance of black, with the onyx/pink gold hearts of the Angèle collection or the onyx and diamond pendants of Art Deco, and always those simple, clean lines.

Rose gold and Ginette NY's iconic designs

The (very) wide range of Ginette NY necklaces and pendants are inspired by geometric patterns, including ellipses and sequins, but also symbols dear to the brand, including the third eye of Ajna, in all-rose gold pendants or set with diamonds and a sapphire. The stylized eagle's wing, the wolf's head, the gingko leaf, the southern cross or more recently the French Kiss mouth are still part of the Ginette NY motifs declined as pendants. And here again, the material of choice remains 18-carat rose gold, accompanied or not by white and sometimes black diamonds. The laser cutting of gold plates - a technique initiated by Ginette NY in jewelry - authorizes, in any case, the multiplication of patterns, and therefore of models. Ribbon, dragon's wing, panther, feather or unicorn's horn are thus added, in all lightness, to the already long list of the House's creations.

Pendants for men and women

For men, the Ginette NY pendants adopt a minimalist look and 18-karat white gold. They incorporate, in particular, the Straw line, which is a best-seller in its women's version. In its classic or mini version, Straw on Chain is then offered in rose gold with a pattern that walks freely on its chain and can be paved with diamonds. Returning to the gentlemen, the pendants are multiple, with the inevitable Disc pierced in two places, its more square declinations, but also the military plate, Buddha, the guitar pick and a reinterpretation of the 45 rpm adapter for music fans. The spirit, there again, is resolutely vintage while displaying an incredible modernity and a true freedom in the lines.
