Possession, the star of Piaget rings

For many women, wearing a Piaget ring is first and foremost about treating yourself - or being treated - to an iconic model with a rotating band. As you might have guessed, it's a Possession ring. Yes, but which one? Indeed, since the first all-gold model released in 1990, the Swiss watch and jewelry House has declined its iconic ring in multiple versions: white gold and diamonds, yellow gold and white gold... up to the more current versions that include colored stones. The rotating ring, a true talisman that characterizes Possession de Piaget is no longer located on the ring's structure, but on the cabochons. In the latest versions, in fact, the ring is made open, the rotating rings are set with diamonds, an ornamental stone - green malachite, turquoise or carnelian - completes the precious set. Let the purists be reassured, the Possession rings still exist in their "classic" configuration, with regularly revisited models and contemporary interpretations. Thus this polished white gold ring with two asymmetrical bands, the first set with a row of diamonds for a touch of opulence, the second hosting a single diamond set in a half-moon.

The combination of rose gold and diamond

While the new-generation Possession rings rely as much on design as on the addictive ritual of twirling their rings, they allow - for some of them - to raise another specificity of the House of Piaget. Its contemporary vision of jewelry inevitably incorporates the marriage of rose gold and diamonds, for rings "worn with timeless grace" that "pose as eternal accomplices to modern women." This precious alliance can be found in all of the collections of rings Piaget, Possession of course, but also Piaget Sunlights, Extremely Piaget, without forgetting Piaget Rose. And here we arrive on an iconic motif of Piaget since the 1960s, the rose, Yves Piaget's favorite flower. From the design-minded openwork ring to the model whose stylized petals are entirely paved with diamonds, the Piaget Rose rings offer a romantic vision of the House. Rose gold and diamond sometimes add to their union, in the most precious models, stones such as tourmaline. Each piece in this line reflects the quality of the craftsmanship of the House's artisans, just as the Piaget Sunlight rings and their triangular sunbeams recall the virtuosity of the setters. "Diamond rings are a reflection of a goldsmith's work that rhymes with excellence." Piaget's intention is to make each ring a work of art, and this is revealed in bold and original models such as the Extremely Piaget rings. A "palace setting" where finely chiseled white gold and a cascade of diamonds enliven the jewel with a play of mysterious reflections, a ring in the shape of a palm leaf that unfolds around the finger: Extremely Piaget plays on another register of the brand, that of the glamour that has always sublimated women's allure from yesterday to today.
