Vision, an aviator-inspired time capsule

With Vision, Parisian watchmaker Hegid has come up with an aviator-like watch capsule with a detail: a third eye with Super-Luminova iris, which comes to rest at the top of the timepiece. "It keeps track of time for us and allows us to move confidently toward our important goals," Hegid writes on its website. As for the aviators of yesteryear who inspired Vision, "they knew that the seconds, the minutes, pass differently in a concentrated head and a well-tuned watch. They were the first to place a moving marker on their timepiece," a marker that, Hegid further reminds us, "has become a valuable tool for all professionals who have too much work to watch their hands move forward." From the aviation watch, Hegid's Vision still retains its beautiful dimensions, with a diameter of 40 mm - for a thickness of 12.32 mm. The body and bi-directional bezel are made of stainless and allergy-free 316L steel, while the bezel insert is made of anodized aluminum. By its characteristics, Vision is a Franco-Swiss watch body, since the first are manufactured in France and the second in our Swiss neighbors. Note, again, that this body exists in two models: Vision Officielle with a black bezel and Vision Officieuse with the silver look of steel.

A mechanical movement and different versions

It is a peculiarity Hegid, House of luxury watchmaking founded in Paris in 2015, the name of the watches is actually the name of the caseband alone. Added to this watch body are capsules with mechanical movement manufactured in Switzerland, which allow each person to make their watch evolve, according to their desires as well as Hegid's novelties. The patented HEVOL system allows you to switch from one capsule to another in a flash, and without any tools. Vision Officieuse is thus equipped, in its original version, with a brown dial from the inaugural Series capsule and a Courage strap in glossy brown buffalo leather. Vision Noire is distinguished by its meteor black color due to its Diamond-like Carbon® treatment: this anti-color absorbs all the light, only the instrumental indications and the third eye of the watch remain visible in this elegant and stylish timepiece. Logically, Vision Noire is matched with a Mission strap in black calf leather, or Courage in equally black natural rubber. Another version of this mechanical watch is Vision Eclipse, with a black and silver case that contrasts with the black capsule already found in Vision Noire. The initial model comes with a Mission strap with ecru stitching that adds their touch of originality. The second-hand market can offer other declinations of Vision as, as we said, the Hegid watches are distinguished by their three elements (case middle, capsule and bracelet) interchangeable, thanks to their unique dressing complication. Regardless, they are the most reliable Swiss mechanical movement watches, made to last and to be passed down from generation to generation. The new price of a Vision watch ranges from 2800€ to 3100€.
