Happy Diamonds, a Chopard collection that revolutionized the world of luxury watchmaking

In 1976, the famous House of Chopard presented a watch with an aesthetic never before seen: the Happy Diamonds. For the first time in the history of the watch industry, a watch has diamonds on its dial that move freely between two sapphire glasses. The public as well as jewelry and watchmaking professionals were stunned. Since then, the reputation of the Happy collection has never wavered. These elegant watches with their surprising design are now iconic pieces sought after by aesthetes around the world. Light and refined, Happy Diamonds watches are exclusively designed for women - initially the collection was also intended for men. Several variations have been created since their creation: watches in white or pink gold 18 carats, with or without colored stones, models with white diamonds, etc. Different colors of bracelets are also available with the pieces of the collection.

Happy Sport watch, a true treasure trove of inventiveness and meticulousness

The immense success of the Happy Diamonds watches spawned the creation of a collection with sportier lines. The Happy Sport was born in 1993, almost 20 years after the hit of the Diamonds. The famous House called on the expertise of the most prestigious Métiers d'art to design it. Chopard has rivaled the audacity of the Diamonds by combining steel and diamonds. While, as with the Diamonds, the diamonds still dance freely on the Happy Sport's bezel, the model stands out from its predecessor with pearl mother-of-pearl dials, offering exceptional comfort to those who wear it, and a bracelet made with an extremely sophisticated mesh of polished pebbles. In 2018, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this iconic timepiece, the Manufacture has equipped the small (30mm) and Happy Sport Oval watches with a mechanical self-winding movement developed specially by the Manufacture.
