The Formula 1, a luxury watch dedicated to the queen of motor racing

The Formula 1 watch is the first creation of the TAG Heuer watchmaking house after its name change (in 1986, Heuer added to its name the acronym TAG for Techniques d'Avant-Garde). The collection offers precise, reliable and ultra-resistant watches, specially designed for high-speed racing. To meet the demands of F1 drivers, TAG Heuer engineers have equipped the new model with exceptional technical features. The original Formula 1 watch immediately appealed to racing drivers, including some legendary names. Ayrton Senna, Juan Manuel Fangio and Alain Prost adopted it and helped make it a legendary timepiece. Today, the collection is available in several versions, including many prestigious limited editions. In 2012, the House created a sensation with a Formula 1 CR7 series (in homage to Cristiano Ronaldo) and a special edition David Guetta with GMT (dual time zone) function.

Formula 1 collection: exceptional technical quality and atypical sports design

Calibrated for speed, TAG Heuer Formula 1 watches feature an elegant black rotating bezel whose notches, inspired by the world of motor racing, have become emblematic of the collection - as has the colorful TAG Heuer coat of arms, which it is the only TAG Heuer watch to feature. For optimal readability, the Formula 1 case is equipped with luminescent markers and large Arabic numerals - the sapphire bezel is also anti-reflective. In terms of performance, the watch has been subjected to more than 60 different tests and proven on the racetrack. The integrated extension of the steel bracelet also makes it easy to wear over a suit. Over time, the collection has been expanded, including models with three hands and an automatic caliber. While the quartz models of the 1980s and 1990s became entry-level models, the collection was revamped in 2004 with more luxurious models. The watches now feature a 40 mm diameter stainless steel case with polyurethane inserts and a black PVD bezel. The sporty design and exceptional features of the TAG Heuer Formula 1 make it a favorite among watch enthusiasts and racing drivers alike.
